“K Squared LLC performed extensive work on two properties for me. First, they prepared my Mount Pleasant Row house for sale with plaster work, interior and exterior painting, and replacing the trim work around the outside of my home. They cleaned up years of bad paint jobs and damaged plaster, dealing with tough spots that other contractors wouldn’t touch, many of which had been there for years before I bought the house. Like many houses in Mount Pleasant, mine was rattled by the earthquake and I wanted to make sure it was sound before I sold it. K Squared fixed it right. They removed large sections of plaster to make repairs so that the cracks were gone for good. Before painting, they cleaned up the mess of old wires running along baseboards and around door frames, and they gave me great advice on paint colors to make the house feel fresh and new.

When I moved to an apartment in Adams Morgan, K Squared went with me. We removed built-ins from the 1970s which left giant holes in the plaster, but they patiently fixed the plaster to a standard in keeping with an elegant turn-of-the-century apartment building. One of the most difficult jobs they had to do was channel the plaster up a wall and through the ceiling to hide electric wires so that an overhead light could be switched on at the wall. Who else would do that? The painting was straightforward, but they did it beautifully, and they built a very nice and cost-effective kitchen counter. Their work was careful, complete, and modestly priced.  Best of all they were delightful to have around.
